Wellbeing services county of Central Uusimaa (Keusote) strengthens impact-based development throughCleverHealth Network collaboration

Wellbeing services county of Central Uusimaa (Keusote) reinforces its research, development, innovation and education operations by joining CleverHealth Network (CHN) -ecosystem. The collaboration aims to bring impactful solutions to everyday work in health and social services and to strenghten preventive and knowledge-based services. It is essential for Keusote that development projects  contribute to renewing the service system, impact of services and bring concrete benefits for the inhabitants of the wellbeing county.

Wide service selection with strong tradition of collaborative development

Keusote organizes social, health and rescue services for 210 000 inhabitants in an area of six municipalities (Hyvinkää, Järvenpää, Mäntsälä, Nurmijärvi, Pornainen and Tuusula) with a workforce of 4000 professionals. The services cover all stages of life from family services to services for the elderly.

Our strenght is long term development and research with our partners: we develop our services together with our employees, the public, research organizations and businesses. RDIE (research, development, innovation and learning) -ecosystem operates as a platform of collaboration, where various actors can build solutions together,  based on real service needs of the public.

Focus on impact – guiding the health and welfare service system with development

For Keusote it is a strategic objective to produce timely and cost-effective services with research-based impact and  customer-oriented approach. The resulting principle in RDIE is to integrate research, development and innovation directly into service production. The objective is to enhance impact and productivity of services and to strengthen knowledge-based management.

Development is guided by impact-based thinking in Keusote. Solutions are evaluated for their ability to increase wellbeing and health benefits in relation to resources spent. This model is a sustainable base for a service system in which preventive services and early support are essential.

Joining the CHN-ecosystem enables early stage piloting and bringing in new technology

Collaboration with CHN offers Keusote a chance to participate in the early stage development of new solutions and pilot projects. Digital services, remote care, use of data and AI-based solutions are of special interest because of their potential to support availability and impact of services. There is great need for scalable and cost-effective innovations for primary health care and social services. Such innovation would help  to respond to the challenges of an ageing population and increasing need for services.

Projects and RDIL ecosystem as engines of development

In Keusote research and development is mostly realized through projects. This enables the organization to focus on piloting and implementation of innovations and solutions into services. The organization’s strategic objectives are supported with projects aiming to build scalable solutions for service quality, productivity and availability which also strengthen the county’s role as an innovative developer of health and social services.

What Keusote can bring to CHN-collaboration

Keusote’s strengths include a wide service selection, long experience in impact-based development and a well-working RDI-ecosystem. The county is a diverse operating environment in which it is possible to test innovations and solutions for various customer groups in primary health care, social services and home care services.

Keusote nurtures a development culture based on open co-development and knowledge-based decision-making, which creates a good base for business collaboration and implementation of new innovations.

For Keusote, the collaboration within CHN is a chance to strengthen the connection between research, development and innovation, between developing solutions and implementing them.
