In mid-October, CleverHealth Network was represented by HUS’s Tiina Puurtinen and Mikko Kytö at the HLTH USA event in Las Vegas, one of the world’s largest health technology conferences. The event gathered over 12,000 guests from the health care and health industries, including decision makers and stakeholders of the sector. Most of the speakers were industry representatives, discussing the latest trends and challenges in health care and health technologies.
CleverHealth Network, together with ten health tech start-ups and Päivi Sillanaukee, Special Envoy for Health and Wellbeing at the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health, and Tarja Enala, director of the Health 360 Finland programme at Business Finland. The Finnish Pavilion showcased Finnish health tech expertise and collaborative ecosystem model of CleverHealth Network to a global audience.
Key topics discussed at the conference included artificial intelligence, nurse resourcing, women’s health, data, remote monitoring, elderly care and mental health.
CHN introduced its unique operating model to the American and European conference representatives. According to Development Manager Tiina Puurtinen, it turned out that co-development is less common in the US, where companies often prefer to work independently or form start-ups. The Finnish approach of ecosystem collaboration attracted significant interest. The CHN stand became a hub for establishing new contacts from both Europe and the US. The ecosystem’s co-development model raised visibility and sparked discussions.
Development Manager Mikko Kytö noted that CHN’s projects and themes are well aligned with the conference’s key themes, demonstrating that the CHN ecosystem is right at the forefront of current global healthcare trends. Tiina Puurtinen agreed and emphasised that CHN is tackling the same challenges as the global health tech community.
Mikko and Tiina were delighted by the “Finland – State of happiness” slogan and the sauna themes at the Finnish Pavilion. They added a distinctive Finnish touch to the event and highlighted the country’s commitment to well-being.
The HLTH USA event provided a valuable platform for CleverHealth Network to present Finnish health tech expertise, strengthen international partnerships and gain visibility among global industry leaders.
