Apotti Oy has joined the CleverHealth Network (CHN). Apotti is both a provider of client and patient information systems for the social and healthcare sectors and a company that develops such systems. Apotti is committed to developing cost-effective and innovative solutions for social and healthcare services.

Jari Renko, Chief Technology Officer at Apoti, has experience in both the private technology sector and the public healthcare sector. Renko previously served as Chief Information Officer at HUS and, in his current role, aims to combine the operating models of both sectors. “It’s great to be part of this partnership through CHN, which brings together the public and private sectors, and to see at first hand how the public sector can operate both cost-effectively and innovatively,” says Renko.

Apotti is the world’s first customer and patient information system that brings together data from primary care, specialist healthcare and social care into a single system. It enables better health, wellbeing and data generation. It promotes client and patient safety as well as the quality of care by guiding the work of healthcare professionals, improving medication safety and anticipating risk situations.

A modular and global system

Jari Renko explains that the Apoti system is based on Epic, a leading provider of healthcare IT solutions used by nearly 70 per cent of the world’s largest hospitals, particularly in the United States. This technology platform makes Apoti’s platform modular and easily expandable, enabling customer-driven development across a range of healthcare systems.

Apotti is owned by the HUS Group and the Helsinki, Vantaa and Kerava welfare region. Apotti’s remit is to provide services that enable more agile social and healthcare solutions at cost price. The aim is to better serve the needs of both social and healthcare professionals and their clients and patients. “Apot’s current strategic focus is on improving the user experience, user satisfaction and cost-effectiveness – we offer a comprehensive solution that streamlines the work of social and healthcare professionals,” says Renko.

Join the CleverHealth Network ecosystem

According to Rengo, joining CHN provides Apotti with a springboard for networking with leading players in the healthcare sector and helps them build relationships with the extensive network of Epic users.

Apotti aims to strengthen its role as a developer of impactful social and healthcare solutions and to raise its profile as a promoter of health innovations. “Through the CHN ecosystem, we hope to learn from existing innovations and find opportunities to participate in the development or internationalisation of promising solutions – whether our role is that of a platform partner, an adviser or an integration partner,” says Renko. He sees value in being able to help other CHN member companies make their applications available to healthcare professionals both in Finland and internationally.

Cooperation and strategic objectives

Apot’s development work is carried out in close collaboration with its owner-clients, and the system is continuously adapted to meet clients’ needs and comply with regulatory requirements. Renko sees strategic synergies between CHN’s objectives and Apoti’s expertise and is looking forward to participating in this innovative CHN community.

Apot’s aim is to be a cost-effective, comprehensive solution that supports the work of healthcare professionals and acts as a key enabler in evidence-based healthcare. Renko emphasises that impact is more important than business potential: “Our aim is to strengthen our role as a promoter of healthcare innovation. Successful collaboration means that we have a positive impact on genuine change within the healthcare sector.”

Through the CHN partnership, Apotti can draw on the strong global network of Epic users for the benefit of other healthcare providers. “The most important thing is to find ways to make more effective use of this shared tool and to explore how Apotti can support other members’ internationalisation within the ecosystem,” Renko summarises.
