InterSystems, a global provider of information management and healthcare information systems, has joined the CleverHealth Network. Kalle Reivilä from InterSystems talks about the company and its expectations regarding joining the ecosystem.
Kalle Reivilä, who works as a business development manager at InterSystems, has been with the company for three years. He has extensive experience of IT and digital development in the healthcare sector, both in Finland and internationally. At InterSystems Finland, Reivilä helps social and healthcare organisations to utilise technology that enables the efficient use of data across their various operations
InterSystems is a global technology company best known for its scalable healthcare data solutions that promote interoperability. Its platforms are used in over 80 countries, for example by large hospital organisations. The company specialises in the integration and utilisation of health data in various contexts. In Finland, InterSystems focuses strongly on social and healthcare systems and provides data-driven solutions for the sector.
A user-centred approach
Kalle Reivilä believes that, through the CleverHealth Network partnership, InterSystems is seeking to position itself close to healthcare professionals and their patients. InterSystems offers centralised solutions for managing data flows between different systems within an organisation, and always endeavours to use industry standards in its integration projects. InterSystems’ platforms are ideally suited to integrating numerous healthcare systems, and the company offers modern data platforms for harmonising and sharing information amongst various stakeholders.
As an example of key technology, Kalle Reivilä cites the InterSystems IRIS data platform, which forms the core of InterSystems’ solutions. IRIS enables the creation of independent and scalable solutions that support both InterSystems’ own products and solutions further developed by its partners. Epic, one of the world’s most widely used healthcare platforms, is built on top of IRIS.
Why CHN, and what does InterSystems bring to the ecosystem?
InterSystems brings its global health data network, expertise in international standards and extensive experience to the CHN ecosystem, from which the entire ecosystem can benefit. As a member of CHN, InterSystems looks forward to participating in development activities that utilise patient data and direct user experience. These will help to identify the real challenges facing the sector and enable impactful decisions to be made for the future of healthcare. InterSystems also wishes to support innovations developed within the ecosystem. The company offers an international start-up programme that may be of interest to smaller companies within the CHN network.
Visions of the future
Reivilä’s vision for CHN collaboration is clear: to create solutions that can save millions of euros whilst making everyday life easier for professionals and members of the public. He is particularly interested in improving patient pathways: the aim is to identify bottlenecks and reduce waste and the various problems that poor communication between different stakeholders can cause.
